The making of this book was a collaborative effort by Photographer Ron Schwager, Author Phil Midling and Designer Connie Ballou.
Ron Schwager is a skilled professional photographer. Ron has years of experience producing stunning award winning imagery.
Phil Midling attended Chico State University where he majored in journalism. Upon graduation, he served as a U.S. congressional aide, speechwriter, and political consultant. He was the editor and publisher of a Northern California news and feature magazine. He is currently a novelist and screen-writer.
Connie Ballou is a long time graphic designer and fine artist with award winning designs spanning over three decades.
When the devastating November 8, 2018 Camp Fire affected their own community of Butte County, Northern California the threesome felt compelled to document it in some meaningful way.
The book is dedicated to the victims, the survivors, and the valiant men and women who risked their own lives to save the lives of others.
A portion of the funds generated from the sale of this book will be donated to the Butte Strong Fund efforts. The Butte Strong Fund is a partnership of the North Valley Community Foundation, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and the Aaron Rodgers NorCal Fire Recovery Fund. The Butte Strong Fund was set up with the specific intent to work alongside the affected communities for years after the fire.
